One big temperature, over a village that changes with the sky.

A weather app built around one number you can read from the other side of the room, with a small village under it that rains, snows and goes dark when the weather does. The hourly and ten-day forecasts are a swipe away, and any weather warning sits under the headline.

The screen recorder that edits itself.

Record a demo and Capta does the edit: zooms on what you clicked, cuts the dead air, syncs every cut to the music, and captions your voice - all on your Mac. Talk over it, put your camera in the corner, export a finished product video.

Notes, habits, trips, recipes, workouts and finances, each a module you switch on or leave off. One menu item exports the lot as a JSON file.

Sleep Timer

Sleep in forty minutes, or at eleven tonight.

Apple took the sleep schedule out of System Settings in Ventura. This puts it back, counts down beside the menu bar clock, and warns you ten minutes before it fires.
