## What Cleat does

Press Command-Space and type what you need. Open an app, find a link in your clipboard history, or move the current window to one side. You can calculate a total and copy the answer without opening a calculator.

For the commands you use often, set an alias or a hotkey. Bring your snippets over from Alfred or Raycast, search your browser bookmarks, and add your own scripts when you need something specific.

## The parts worth knowing about

Not the whole list - the app has more screens than a page like this can usefully hold. These are the decisions that make Cleat different from the last one you tried.

- ### Find the text you copied

  Search clipboard history and reuse saved snippets. You keep both on your Mac, and you can back up your history, snippets and settings to a local file.
- ### Arrange your windows by name

  Type a window command to make room beside your current app. You can also search the front app's menu commands and run one without hunting through its menus.
- ### Add a reminder before you forget

  Create a note, reminder or calendar event from the launcher. Review the details and choose a list or calendar before saving. You grant access to the apps you want to use.
- ### Choose where you chat

  Use Apple Intelligence, a downloadable model, a model server or your own cloud API key. With a cloud provider, you send your prompts and conversation context to that provider and pay its API charges.
- ### Translate and dictate on your Mac

  On macOS 26, compare a translation with the original and paste it back into your app. For dictation, hold a key while you speak. You may need to download language files.
- ### Run your own scripts

  Write a command in a language you use, then print a JSON object for each result. In Settings, check dependencies and configure commands. You keep your script edits when you update the bundled commands.

**### How much does Cleat cost?**

You can use all features for free during beta, without a license key or trial countdown. After beta, Cleat will cost $49 USD, paid once. Cloud assistant providers charge for API usage separately.

**### Will Cleat run on my Mac?**

You need an Apple silicon Mac running macOS 15 or later. Translation and dictation require macOS 26, and you may need to download language files.

**### Does my clipboard go to a server?**

You keep your clipboard history on your Mac. If you choose a cloud assistant, you send selected clipboard text, prompts and conversation context to that provider. You can choose Apple Intelligence or the built-in model to process assistant text on your Mac instead.

**### Can I import my snippets?**

Yes. You can import snippets from Alfred or Raycast, and clipboard history from Alfred.
